Big Daddy Roadshow

Getting started on the music section with some music that is readily available. These are some demo tracks I recorded with one of the many bands I played with. We recorded these on an old Tascam Digital Portastudio 788. That thing sounded really good for what it was back in the day! Also included are some of the better sounding videos of gigs we did at various locations around Central Virginia sometime between 2010 and 2011.

So Sharp – The J. Geils Band

Willin’ – Little Feat

Imagination – Rolling Stones

Treat Her Right – Roy Head and The Traits

Gig at a bar in downtown Scottsville, Virginia. That’s the one when the bartender told us to TURN IT DOWN!

Gig at a Pie Shop in downtown Louisa, Virginia!

Gig across from the horse track at James Madison’s Montpelier!

The Devil’s Egg

Out of all the lineups I’ve been part of, this one stands out as my absolute favorite … what a band!!! We started in Fredericksburg in the summer of 1992 after guitarist, Lowell Sale, and I graduated from Radford University. We were joined by his brother, Powell, on the drums for what would be over twenty years (off and on) of musical mayhem! These pictures are from a gig in 2006. Since we pre-dated the digital age, I’ll need to dig through the boxes of photos to find some pictures of the early days. Also, you’ll have to forgive the sound quality, as all of this was recorded on cassette tapes, and much of it over the air at practice or live gigs. Some of my favorite songs we played never made it on tape, but I’ll never forget how much fun it was to play with these guys. Long Live The Egg!!!
